Not for the first time, Rahul Bhatt has spoken quite openly about the old dispute with actor Ranveer Shorey in a recent conversation. He admitted that his reaction at that time was excessively extreme and it was his mistake to take the law into his own hands. During a conversation in Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, Rahul told that this dispute had escalated after an altercation between his sister Pooja Bhatt and Ranveer Shorey. He also told that he was arrested in this case and a case was registered against him.

When Siddharth Kannan asked Rahul Bhatt what happened between him and Ranveer Shorey, he told that it started with an argument between his sister Pooja Bhatt and Ranveer Shorey. According to Rahul, there was an altercation between the two and Ranveer had beaten Pooja and he had to intervene after the situation worsened. Rahul said that at that time he had come to his sister’s rescue, but his reaction became too much. He admitted that instead of handling the situation, he took such a step in anger, which he later had to face legally.
‘I broke the glass of his car’
Rahul admitted in the conversation that he had broken the glass of Ranveer Shourie’s car and also broken one of his ribs. He described his reaction as quite extreme. Rahul said that looking back he feels that he should not have gone so far. He clearly admitted that it was his mistake to take the law into his own hands. According to Rahul, after that incident he was arrested and a case was registered against him. Recalling this incident, he also admitted that his decision taken in anger was not right.
‘I regret that I should not have done so much’
When Siddharth Kannan asked Rahul if he regretted the incident, he said ‘yes’ without any hesitation. Rahul admitted that he should have controlled his reaction and the matter should not have escalated to this extent. He specifically said that his reaction in Ranvir Shorey’s case was excessive. However, Rahul also said that later when the process of ending the legal dispute between the two started, the way Ranveer behaved increased his respect for the actor.
‘Ranveer did not hold any grudge’
Rahul Bhatt praised Ranveer Shorey and said that he chose to end the case instead of pursuing it later. According to Rahul, Ranveer showed a lot of decency in this matter and talked about leaving the old issues behind. Rahul told that Ranveer adopted the mentality of ‘bygones is bygones’ and came forward to end the matter. He said that usually in such disputes, people hold grudges for a long time or drag the matter for their own benefit, but Ranveer did not do this.
‘I respect Ranveer a lot’
Rahul further said that because of this attitude of Ranveer, he still respects him a lot. He told that Ranveer cooperated in the process of closing the case and after this the matter was closed. According to Rahul, the FIR was also later canceled. During this conversation, Rahul also talked about his meeting and friendship with David Headley.
