It collected around Rs 1,429 crore in India and around Rs 359 crore from overseas markets. Its net collection in India was around Rs 1,030 crore, while the budget of the film was around Rs 250 crore. With this, it became the second highest grossing film in those days, while Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ released in 2016 was ahead of it. But now Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has broken the record of Prabhas’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’.

One of the biggest achievements of the film, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, was that it became the second Indian film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally. Upon release, it also became the second highest-grossing Indian film globally. It was one of the films of its time that was the fastest to cross Rs 100 crore, Rs 500 crore and then Rs 1,000 crore globally.

Hindi dubbed version changed the game

The Hindi dubbed version of this film was also much talked about, which received tremendous response from the audience. Before Baahubali 2, dubbed South Indian movies had limited reach among the Hindi audience, but Baahubali 2 changed it completely and crossing all the hurdles, its Hindi version collected around Rs 511 crore nett and rivaled the top Hindi blockbusters.
