After the demise of veteran actor Dharmendra, his family is still trying to recover from this deep grief. Recently, his younger son and actor Bobby Deol spoke openly about the emptiness and changes in the family after losing his father. Bobby admits that his priorities have completely changed after his father’s departure and he now realizes that nothing is more valuable than time. While mentioning these things, he also talked about his relationship with Esha and Ahana Deol and told what changes have happened in their relationship after the death of their father.
father’s loss and regrets
In an interview given to ‘Esquire India’, Bobby Deol shared emotional things while remembering his father Dharmendra. He said, ‘There are many days when I wish I had spent more time with him. I wish I had asked him more questions. Bobby told that now he has become very conscious about living with his sons, wife and family. According to him, box office collections, film reviews and roles become meaningless after a time. He said, ‘Success is measured by how much time you get to spend with your loved ones. What is the use of fame and fortune if there is no one nearby to share it with?’ Bobby also told that he often watches his father’s reels on Instagram. She said her father was so approachable and warm that sometimes it felt as if he was speaking directly to her.
Increased closeness with Isha and Ahana
Bobby Deol said in an important revelation that this tragedy has united the family. In particular, he has become close to his step-sisters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. He said, ‘I think we are all dealing with this grief in our own ways. Sometimes when you are in pain, you misunderstand each other because everyone thinks that his pain is bigger than the other.’ Bobby went on to say that time heals wounds and loss often finds its way to bring families closer. He also felt that his sons too had attained a kind of maturity and were now more aware of the impermanence of life.
