Namo Bharat train will connect Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida, NCRTC submitted final DPR

Delhi-After the success of Namo Bharat train on Meerut route, planning to connect other major cities of NCR with the network has also intensified. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has finalized the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the Namo Bharat RRTS corridor connecting Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Greater Noida. NCRTC has submitted the proposal to Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) for review by the Haryana government.

63 kilometer long corridor will be built at a cost of Rs 19,390 crore

According to DPR, the construction of this 63 km long corridor will cost approximately Rs 19,390 crore. Of this 63 km long project, 50 km long portion will be in Haryana and the remaining 13 km portion will be in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said that this project will also include integrated metro connectivity in Gurugram, Faridabad and Greater Noida.

Currently planning to build 7 stations on the new corridor

There will be a total of 7 stations on this proposed RRTS corridor connecting Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Greater Noida. In this, IFFCO Chowk will be the initial interchange station, while two other stations are proposed at Sector-61 and Gwal Pahari in Gurugram. There are plans to build stations at Sainik Colony, Bata Chowk and Sector-87 and 88 intersection in Faridabad. Two more stations will be built in Noida Sector 142 and Surajpur.

Where will metro stations be built?

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the metro part of the project will include 5 stations in Gurugram in Sector 29, Millennium City Centre, Sector 52/52A, Wazirabad and Sector 57. Metro stations are proposed at NIT-3, NIT-1, Sector 12/13/14/15 Intersection, Sector 80, Sector 81/82 Intersection, Sector 85/86 Intersection and Badshahpur in Faridabad. 3 metro stations will be built in Noida and Greater Noida area, which will include Sector 135, Sector 141 and Suthiyana of Noida.

NCRTC will take a loan of Rs 10,102 crore for the project

NCRTC is planning to take a soft loan of Rs 10,102 crore to fund the project. In this, Haryana’s share has been fixed at Rs 4,555 crore, Uttar Pradesh’s share at Rs 1,364 crore and the Centre’s share at Rs 3,367 crore.

Haryana government discussed the project in detail

An HMRTC official said the DPR was discussed in the board meeting chaired by state Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on Monday. “The DPR is being reviewed. Feedback will be taken from the concerned departments of GMDA, HSVP, Gurugram Municipal Corporation and Faridabad,” he said. A Haryana government spokesperson said on Monday that the RRTS project was discussed in detail during the meeting.
