Commercial operations will also start along with domestic flights.
Noida Airport is all set to start commercial operations with domestic flights from June 15. The process examined the coordination of various systems, processes and stakeholders, including the airport’s critical infrastructure such as the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), passenger boarding bridge and ground power system.
Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Required Navigation Performance (RNP) approach procedures have also been re-verified during the exercise.
Last month, IndiGo had also announced that it would start commercial flight operations from Noida International Airport in Jewar from June 15.
Nearby cities will get a lot of benefits
The opening of Noida International Airport will greatly benefit the nearby cities. This airport is opening after years of planning and construction. This will change the travel experience for passengers in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Western Uttar Pradesh and some areas of Haryana and Rajasthan.
Earlier, the passengers of UP who had to reach Delhi Airport to take international flights, will now be able to catch flights from Noida Airport only.
How to reach Noida International Airport?
For passengers who want to reach Noida Airport and catch a flight from here, cab service will be most convenient. Passengers can reach the airport using services like Airport Taxi, Ola, Uber and Rapido. Currently there is no direct metro connectivity to the airport. In such a situation, passengers will have to use the road route only in the beginning.
To improve connectivity, officials are planning to start air-conditioned electric bus service. These bus services will start soon. Connectivity to this airport is expected to be even better in future.
