At the same time, AILDF has said that it will not participate in the demonstration announced in Delhi. He said that he believes in finding solutions to problems through meaningful dialogue. AILDF also assured consumers of continuing uninterrupted domestic LPG deliveries. The Federation said that whenever the country has needed it, the distributors have fulfilled their responsibilities and are committed to ensuring the supply of domestic gas in future also.

There has been no change in commission for 5 years

Let us tell you that there has been no change in the commission received by distributors on the sale of domestic LPG in the last 5 years. During this period, operating costs and other expenses have increased significantly, which has increased the pressure on the financial condition of distributors. Distributor organizations have been demanding increase in commission for a long time. FLDI said it, along with AILDF, has raised the issue of fair commission, economic viability of distributors and operational problems with directors and other senior officials of petroleum marketing companies. According to the Federation, talks on related issues have progressed in a positive direction and efforts will continue until the demands are resolved.

The meeting was held on 21 October

A meeting was held on October 21 at the headquarters of Indian Oil Corporation in Mumbai regarding the demands of the distributor organizations. It was attended by representatives of FLDI and AILDF along with marketing directors, executive directors and other senior officials of Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum. According to the All India HP Gas Distributors Association (AIHPGDA), the economic crisis, operational difficulties and business pressures were prominently raised by the distributors in the meeting.

Ministry’s approval pending

AIHPGDA said digital reforms have increased transparency, but expenses are rising despite declining refill sales in many markets. Restrictions on new gas connections, unpaid work and stock of unsold commercial products have also put pressure on distributors’ working capital. According to AIHPGDA, the management of petroleum companies told in the meeting that proposals to amend the commission of distributors have already been sent to the Petroleum Ministry. The officials also agreed to make a joint recommendation for an interim increase within a specific time frame. However, the approval of the Ministry in this regard is still pending.
