A big and interesting information has come to light regarding the much awaited Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway of Uttar Pradesh. This expressway has not even been inaugurated yet, but preparations have been completed to include it among the most modern and smart highways of the country. Drivers traveling on this expressway will not have to stop at toll plazas and wait in long queues. With the help of state-of-the-art technology, toll tax will be deducted before the vehicle reaches the toll plaza and the barrier will open automatically.

A hi-tech toll system based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology has been installed on the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway. As soon as a vehicle approaches the toll plaza, the cameras installed there will scan its number plate. Along with this, Fastag will also be read and toll fee will be deducted automatically. The vehicle will not need to stop during this entire process. The barrier will open a few meters before the toll plaza and the vehicle will be able to continue its journey directly. It is believed that this will be the first expressway in Uttar Pradesh where this level of smart toll system will be seen.

System prepared keeping in mind high speed vehicles

The maximum speed limit for private vehicles like cars, SUVs and jeeps on the expressway has been set at 120 kilometers per hour. At the same time, commercial vehicles will be allowed to run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. To ensure that there is no problem in toll collection even at such high speeds, high-resolution ANPR cameras have already been installed on the expressway. These cameras can easily recognize the number plates of vehicles moving at high speed.

The road is built with hi-tech technology

Modern engineering and advanced technology have been used in the construction of this expressway. During the test drive, it was found that even at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, vibration was not felt in the vehicle and the driver had no problem in controlling the vehicle. According to the information, during the test, some SUVs were driven at speeds up to 150 kilometers per hour, but the road quality and stability were not affected. Many drivers say that the vehicle feels quite slow even at a speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour.

Waiting for inauguration, increased enthusiasm among people

Although the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway has not been formally inaugurated yet, but after the information about its modern facilities and hi-tech toll system came to light, enthusiasm among the people has increased.
