Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Review: Premium design with great battery, know how we liked this phone

8 Min Read

Motorola has recently launched its latest Edge 70 Fusion, which is replacing the Edge 60 Fusion that came last year. Its starting price is Rs 26,999, while the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999. It seems that Motorola wants to provide a top-tier experience in the mid-range segment, i.e. a combination of premium finish and affordable price.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Review: Look and Design

The thickness of Edge 70 Fusion is only 7.99 mm. This is a very sleek and beautiful looking device. Due to its slim look, it is very easy to use, but sadly, it does not come with a silicone cover in the box. Although its body is made of plastic, it does not look cheap at all. It will be a sturdy and stylish device in your hands.

Motorola has given it a bold and new finish. Its back is matte velvet which feels like paper and it protects the phone from fingerprints, and also gives a good grip. I have been using this phone for the last 10 days, it can be used easily with one hand and does not slip from the hands. It has both IP68 and IP69 certification for protection against water and dust. Additionally, it also has MIL-STD-810H certification, which means it can easily withstand accidental drops or rough use.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Review: Performance, RAM and Storage

This smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which performs daily tasks easily without any interruption; It doesn’t lag even during heavy gaming or multitasking. Motorola has provided 12GB RAM and 256GB storage in this device, which is enough to play heavy games or capture good quality photos and videos. However, I must say that the device does get a little warm at times during long video calls or conferences, but it was not so much that it would be a problem.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Review: Camera Performance

This phone will have a 50MP main lens with optical stabilization and a 13MP ultra-wide lens to capture larger scenes. In good lighting (whether indoors or outdoors), this phone can capture photos with very clear and balanced dynamic range. Even in difficult conditions like night or low light, its special Night Mode helps in capturing rich details and reduces noise.

Its front camera is quite smart with a 32MP shooter, which can capture clear and crisp selfies when used with auto-filters. Some people will probably miss the lack of a telephoto lens, meaning zoom shots won’t be as good as what you get on expensive flagship phones.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Review: Battery and connectivity

I like the battery of this phone very much. Motorola has provided a 7000mAh battery in this device, which easily lasts for about 2 days on a single charge with normal use. For quick charging, the phone has a 68W fast charging, which charges up to 50% in about 25 minutes, which is very useful when you are in a hurry. For connectivity, this handset features 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual SIM, so you’re sure to experience all the latest features.

The best thing about this smartphone

To be honest, we liked the battery of this phone the best. Apart from this, I liked the smooth curved 144Hz AMOLED display of this phone and the bloat-free Android 16 experience. Motorola has kept its software very clean, so you won’t have to sift through a ton of useless pre-installed apps to find what you need.

All this combined makes the Edge 70 Fusion a great choice for those who want a phone that can last all day or more without compromising on modern speed and style.

Price, Availability and Competition in India (2026)

If you like this phone and want to buy it for yourself, then you can easily buy it from Motorola’s official website, Flipkart and retail stores across India. Since this phone has come in the market at a price of less than Rs 25,000, it will definitely face tough competition from some recently launched devices, which include Realme 14 Pro+ 5G, iQOO Neo 9 Lite, OnePlus Nord CE5 and Samsung Galaxy A36 5G etc. But with its unique features and tremendous battery, Edge 70 Fusion emerges as a strong contender.

our decision

Overall, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion seems to be a good option for those looking for a smartphone that has a sleek and smart design, great specifications and great battery life. This is a premium looking smartphone, which is perfect for daily use. Be it heavy calling, continuous video watching or gaming, it is definitely reliable.

Also, its camera is excellent in both day and night photography. At this price point it’s certainly impressive. Its battery lasts for a very long time, and is a must for people who like to travel long distances.

The things that could have been better in this phone are its speakers. During calls, when talking on the speaker, the sound comes out fine but while continuously watching videos or listening to music, the sound sounded a bit low. Also, I encountered network issues at times. So, there is some room for improvement, but overall, it easily finds its place among other mid-range smartphones.
