Google Artificial Intelligence Data Center: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of Google’s $15 billion Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center near Visakhapatnam. This data center with one gigawatt capacity is being considered a major step in the development of India’s digital infrastructure. This huge data center of Google is being developed in collaboration with AdaniConnect. AdaniConnex which is in joint venture with Adani Enterprises and is going to build the country’s largest AI data center in collaboration with Google for this data center. In terms of connectivity, it will include subsea cable connectivity and high-speed fire network.

One of the largest AI data centers in the country

According to the official statement, it will be one of the largest AI data centers in the country and will provide advanced AI cloud infrastructure and large-scale data storage capacity. This data center will be built on about 600 acres of land in Tarluwada, Adavivaram and Rambilli villages. It will also involve other private partners and aims to develop a multi-gigawatt digital ecosystem in the state. As part of the long-term plan, the state government aims to develop a digital ecosystem with a capacity of about 6.5 gigawatts to establish Andhra Pradesh as a major data hub. The project, developed in strategic partnership with AdaniConnex and Airtel’s Nxtra, creates a gigawatt-scale AI ecosystem to power a growing India.

India AI Hub located in Visakhapatnam and three subsea cables are vital for the progress of the country. Will prove to be a very important infrastructure. When will this data center be operational?

This center is expected to be operational by July 2028. This center will strengthen AI, cloud services and high-speed internet connectivity and strengthen the AI ​​infrastructure of the country.
