Rishabh Pant: Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant will once again be seen in the jersey of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. In one of the most talked about trades in IPL history, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals have swapped players, with Pant returning to Delhi while spinner Kuldeep Yadav becoming a part of Lucknow.

Rishabh Pant’s first reaction after this high-profile trade has come to light. He bid farewell to Lucknow Super Giants in just three words. Pant shared a post from LSG on Instagram Story, in which the franchise thanked him for his contribution. While sharing this post on his Instagram story, Pant wrote – Thank you team. Pant was bought for 27 crores

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Lucknow Super Giants bought Rishabh Pant for a record price of Rs 27 crore. This was the largest amount spent on a player in IPL auction history. However, after only two seasons the team decided to part ways with Pant. Under the trade deal, Pant has now returned to Delhi Capitals for a fee of Rs 15 crore. At the same time, Kuldeep Yadav has become a part of Lucknow Super Giants with the current fee of Rs 13.50 crore.

IPL journey started from Delhi

Star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant started his IPL career with Delhi Capitals. He remained a part of this team continuously from 2016 to 2024 and played 111 matches in 9 seasons. Pant is the player who has played the most matches for Delhi in IPL. He also captained the team in 43 matches in four seasons between 2021 and 2024. In such a situation, his return is being seen as a big step for Delhi Capitals. Now it will be interesting to see whether Delhi Capitals makes any changes in its captaincy or continues to trust Akshar Patel.
