Preparations are being made for big changes regarding IPL. As of now, IPL starts at the end of March and continues till May. However, the number of matches in this league will increase in the coming days. In such a situation, the days will have to be increased. Meanwhile, information is coming that IPL can be conducted in two phases. It is quite possible that you will get to watch IPL matches from September to October also. However, this is still the initial stage and it will take some time to implement.

The number of matches in IPL is expected to increase from 74 to 94.

Indian Premier League is the biggest league in the world. Keeping this in view, more leagues have started across the world. A separate window has also been given by ICC for IPL. When this tournament takes place, there are very few international matches around the world. Talking about now, a total of 74 matches are played in IPL. There is already talk of increasing their number to 94 in the coming days. But it will not be easy to hold matches continuously for so many days. That too when it is very hot in most parts of India in April and May.

The second phase of IPL can be conducted from September to October.

Players also face injury problems in the heat and humidity of April and May. Talking about this, IPL Chairman Arun Kumar Dhumal says that if talks with ICC’s Future Tour Program and broadcasters go in the right direction, then one season of IPL can be divided into two parts. The first phase will run from late February to April and the second phase can be played from September to October. Dhumal said these things in a special conversation with Sports Star.

Broadcasters and broadcasters of IPL will get benefit in the festive season.

Actually, the time from September to October can be chosen because the weather in India is quite good at that time. The rains have gone and winter is slowly creeping in. Not only this, the festival season has also arrived in India in October. During this period, many big companies also give a lot of advertisements. Broadcasters and IPL are likely to benefit from this. BCCI is seriously considering this. If there is a window for the next cycle after the year 2027, then IPL may be seen taking place in two phases. That means, overall, IPL can have two phases in the year 2028 or 2029.
