Today i.e. on July 26, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and strong thunderstorm in many states and union territories including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. In many areas, strong winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. According to the Meteorological Department, due to strong wind and rain, there is a possibility of trees falling, waterlogging and power supply being affected.

1. country’s capital Delhi There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm till this evening. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour. The maximum temperature is expected to be 35 degrees and minimum 28 degrees Celsius.
2. There itself, Uttar Pradesh There is an alert of rain and storm in many districts including Meerut, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Sitapur, Hardoi, Bahraich. The maximum temperature in Lucknow can be 36 and minimum 28 degrees Celsius.
3. Bihar There is a possibility of strong wind up to 70 km per hour along with rain in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Katihar and other districts. There is also a danger of lightning.
4. Jharkhand Ranchi, Dumka, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Giridih and adjoining districts may experience heavy rain and strong wind with speed of 55 to 60 km per hour.
5. Rajasthan Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Baran, Kota, Bundi, Sirohi, Bhilwara, Sikar, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Rajsamand and Tonk.
6. Madhya Pradesh Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Khandwa, Dewas, Chhindwara, Betul, Hoshangabad, Vidisha, Balghat, Rewa, Singrauli and Ujjain. During this period, there is a possibility of strong wind blowing at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
7. Gujarat There is a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Navsari, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Dangs, Junagadh, Amreli, Ahmedabad, Bavla and Bhavnagar. During this period, there is a warning of strong wind blowing at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
8. Maharashtra Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Pune, Thane, Mumbai, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Buldhana, Amravati, Gadchiroli and Gondia. During this period, there is a possibility of storm blowing at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
9. Punjab Rain and storm alert has been issued in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur, Saas Nagar and Roop Nagar. During this period, there is a warning of wind blowing at a speed of 60 to 65 kilometers per hour.
10. west bengal Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Kolkata, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Birbhum, Hooghly, Murshidabad, Purulia, Nadia and South 24 Parganas.

Weather condition in hilly states?

• Uttarakhand Warning of rain and storm has been issued in Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Haridwar and Rishikesh.
• Jammu and Kashmir Alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Kathua, Jammu, Reasi, Ramban, Rajouri, Kulgam, Poonch, Kupwara, Baramulla and Pulwama.
• There itself, Himachal Pradesh There is a possibility of rain in Bilaspur, Chamba, Sirmaur, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Kinnaur, Mandi and Solan.
