The SIT probing the theft of offerings in Ram temple has also found Champat Rai and Anil Mishra guilty. The report says that Champat Rai himself went to the thieves’ house and recovered the looted money. The police kept telling Champat Rai repeatedly that this is a serious crime and an FIR should be registered, but Champat Rai refused to register the FIR.

The SIT said it found CCTV footage from April 27 to June 6, in which people were seen stealing 72 offerings while counting them. All those who were caught stealing were put to the task of counting at the behest of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra.

Although the news of resignation of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra also came on Friday, but no one has confirmed it. My information is that RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad are not in favor of saving Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. The opinion of big leaders of VHP and RSS is that Champat Rai and Anil Mishra should resign from their posts for a fair investigation.

VHP General Secretary Bajrang Lal Bagra, Central Organization General Secretary Milind Parande and Central Co-Organization General Secretary Vinayak Rao were sent to Ayodhya, all three of them had a long talk with Champat Rai and Anil Mishra and clearly explained what the VHP leadership wanted.

Only after this meeting, an FIR was lodged by the Trust for looting the offerings. If someone says that Champat Rai is simple and trusts someone who called himself a volunteer, then this is a very useless argument. It is not a matter of one day that someone cheated.

Theft, plunder, whitewashing of donations received from Ram temple and nepotism were going on for a long time. Champat Rai was running the Trust like his own estate, handed over the keys of the temple to his driver and put him to work counting. The driver brought his nephew. Soon other people also got involved in the theft. They also brought their brothers and nephews.

Champat Rai and Anil Mishra kept playing with fire. The caravan passed, we kept looking at the dust. When the news got out, they went to the thieves to recover the money. Accepted as one’s ability to get money. The evidence that could have been collected from CCTV was not kept safe; on the contrary, it alerted the thieves with its actions.

The urge to monopolize the trust brought him to such a state that he came under suspicion. If Champat Rai and Anil Mishra resigned from the Trust then it was right and if they did not resign then they have no right to remain in the Trust after the SIT report comes.

In order for the entire matter to be investigated impartially, it is necessary that he should not be seen in the temple premises. This is good for them too. At least there will be no allegation that the brothers and nephews who had wads of notes in their pockets while counting, tried to save their loved ones.

This matter is not limited to negligence in monitoring only. This case is not just about theft of rupees, money and jewellery. This question is of betrayal of the faith of crores of Ram devotees. Theft in the offerings of Lord Ram is a sin for which punishment will last for many births.

The properties of those who looted the money from donation boxes should be confiscated and every penny should be recovered. The Ram Mandir Trust should be reorganized and the responsibility should be handed over to such persons who have experience in administration and who understand the challenges of the new era.

Beware of .APK files!

Now there is news to caution you. If you receive any text message or WhatsApp message from an unknown number or from an acquaintance’s number, in which you are threatened by saying that your phone, electricity or gas connection will be cut, then you should not click on such messages at all.

Delete this message immediately, because if you click on it, your phone will be hacked and your bank account will be emptied within minutes.

Many gangs involved in this type of cyber fraud were caught in Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad on Friday. This gang defrauded at least Rs 50 crore and defrauded thousands of people. Mumbai Police has arrested six people.

These people used to hack people’s phones by sending APK files and steal money from bank accounts.

Ahmedabad Police caught the gang which used to generate APK files, then sell these files to cyber criminals through whom cyber thugs were emptying people’s bank accounts. Ahmedabad Police has arrested three people from Jharkhand, all three have connections to Jamtara, Jharkhand, which is infamous for cyber crime.

The full form of APK is Android Package Kit. Whenever you download an app from Google’s Play Store, all the electronic information required to run that app is recorded in the APK file itself. This is called App Program Instruction.

When you download an App or APK file from Google’s Play Store, it is completely safe because Google authenticates it and uploads it on the Play Store, but nowadays cyber criminals develop such fake APK files in the name of banks, gas agencies, RTOs and send them to people’s phones.

As soon as someone opens this file, all control of his phone goes to the hacker. All the information of the phone reaches the hacker. The bank’s OTP and password also reach them and they easily empty people’s accounts.

The second big thing is that the phone numbers of all the people who are saved in your phone, cyber criminals send them the same message from your phone number which was sent to you. If any of them clicks it then he also becomes a victim of fraud.

Cyber criminals are also trying to target big government officials and officials of private companies. The Home Ministry has asked officials of big companies to remain alert. The bottom line is that you should be careful. If any such message comes on your phone, do not click on it. If the APK file is accidentally downloaded, switch off the phone immediately.

After this, contact the bank and get your account blocked and inform about this fraud on 1930. The sooner you call 1930, the greater will be the chances of cyber fraudsters being caught. (Rajat Sharma)
