Ingredients to make Aloo Suji Garlic Chilli Bites

  • One raw potato, one cup fine semolina, two cups water, one teaspoon salt, green coriander, one teaspoon chili flakes, half teaspoon celery, half teaspoon cumin, one teaspoon Kasuri fenugreek, two tablespoons desi ghee, 4-5 chopped garlic cloves, 2-3 green chillies.
  • Ingredients for batter: 2 tbsp flour, 1 tsp nigella seeds, 2-3 tbsp vermicelli, half tsp salt, water as required

How to make Aloo Suji Garlic Chilli Bites?

  • Step 1: To make Potato Semolina Garlic Chilli Bites, first take a raw potato and grate it. After that soak it in water so that its starch is removed.
  • Step 2: Now add two cups of water, one teaspoon salt, green coriander, chilli flakes, celery, cumin and Kasuri methi to one cup of fine semolina in a bowl and mix well and keep it covered for ten minutes.
  • Step 3: Now turn on the gas and place a pan and add two tablespoons of desi ghee in it. When the ghee is hot, temper it with garlic cloves and green chillies and then add grated potatoes. Cook on low flame. When the potatoes become soft, add semolina batter to it and mix well. When it mixes well and turns into a dough, turn off the gas. Now make round tikkis from this dough and keep it aside.
  • Fourth Step: Now make a thick batter by adding wheat flour, nigella seeds, vermicelli and water as per requirement in a bowl and dip the tikki in it. Then after that fry the tikki in hot oil.
  • Fifth Step: Your Aloo Suji Garlic Chilli Bites are ready. Serve it with green coriander chutney.
