Kubbra said that when did people turn from being fans of an artist to investigating his personal life. Remembering Govinda, she said that she herself grew up watching his films and for her the actor was a big superstar, icon and legend of the 90s. Kubbra said that today if a woman is seen around an actor or with him, she is immediately called ‘mystery woman’ or ‘alleged girlfriend’. He questioned who is drawing such conclusions and on what basis such assumptions are being made about someone’s relationship.

‘When did gossip become judgement?’
Kubbra clarified that she does not know Govinda personally, but she has met his wife Sunita Ahuja. He described Sunita as a woman with a witty, outspoken and wonderful personality. However, Kubbra objects to the fact that Sunita or any other woman is expected to give repeated clarifications after the rumours. The actress said that the kind of speculations people start themselves, it is not appropriate to seek answers from the concerned people later on the same. He asked when did gossip cease to be gossip and become a means of passing judgment on a person.
‘Be a fan, don’t interfere in personal life’
In her video, Kubbra also talked about the tendency of making objectionable comments about someone’s personal life on social media and making videos just to go viral. He said that the work and personal life of people in public life are different things. Raising the issue of respect for women, he said that respect for women should not be limited to reacting only after a big or serious incident. Women’s choices and personal decisions should be respected even in everyday life. She appealed to the people that no woman should be forced to give repeated explanations for her life or decisions. Kubbra finally advised people that if they can’t say good things about someone then don’t say anything and just become their fans and enjoy their art.
Govinda also clarified on the rumors
Discussions about the relationship between Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnkar intensified when both were seen together on different occasions. Especially after their presence at the airport and Lalbaugcha Raja, dating speculations started rife on social media. Meanwhile, Govinda rejected these reports and said that his relationship with Komal is professional. According to the actor, the purpose of going to Lalbaugcha Raja was to pray for the success of his film ‘Roopa’. Regarding these discussions, Govinda also claimed that efforts are being made to create distance between him and his family and tarnish his image. He called it a strategically planned effort.
