The film crossed the Rs 50 crore mark on its opening day in India, which was higher than the opening of ‘Pathan’ and touched the Rs 96 crore mark on the second day. ‘Peddi’ has left behind the lifetime collection of Kartik Aryan’s film ‘Chandu Champion’. Now the box office collection of the second day of ‘Peddi’ has also been revealed, which is slightly less than the first day.

Second day box office collection of ‘Peddi’

According to trade website Sacknilk, ‘Peddi’ has earned Rs 26.90 crore nett in India, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 96.40 crore. The film recorded 47.3% occupancy in 9929 shows. It has also overtaken the lifetime collection of Kartik Aryan’s sports film ‘Chandu Champion’, which had earned Rs 63.57 crore in India. Despite the popularity of actors like Jhanvi, Divyendu and Boman Irani, the performance of ‘Peddi’ in Hindi has been disappointing so far. ‘Peddi’ earned more than Rs 100 crore worldwide

With the weekend around the corner, it will be interesting to see how quickly the film achieves its target. To reach the top this year, ‘Peddi’ will have to leave behind Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ and Chiranjeevi’s ‘Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu’.

Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ becomes solo blockbuster

‘Peddi’ earned ₹18.50 crore from its premiere and recorded 72% occupancy in 847 shows. On its opening day on Thursday, the film had 12,412 shows and an occupancy of 45.5%, but grossed Rs 51 crore. Now ‘Peddi’ is competing with Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, which had earned Rs 167.46 crore in India. ‘Peddi’ is earning better than Ram Charan’s previous film ‘Game Changer’, which had earned Rs 72.60 crore in two days in India. However, it is far behind ‘RRR’, which had earned a whopping Rs 216.7 crore in two days. The amazing thing is that ‘Peddi’ is Ram’s biggest opening film so far in terms of solo release.
