In which direction will the story of season two go?
This trailer gives a glimpse of the mission of Dr. Prabhat (Amol Parashar) in which he is trying to restore a dilapidated primary health center in Bhatkandi. When they become confident that the villagers are now with them, then new challenges arise in front of them. Dr Prabhat feels that if his hospital gets the title of Adarsh PHC then all the problems will end. But they soon realize that success does not come just from having a medical degree and running a good hospital. Amidst the strange attitudes of the villagers, the gyrations of local politics, the suspicions in people’s hearts and the ever-present shortage of essential supplies, will Dr. Prabhat be able to find the right solution to Bhatkandi’s problems or will it prove that he is beyond his power to fix all this?
What does Amol say about the series?
Amol Parashar, who plays the lead character of Dr. Prabhat in this series, said, ‘In this new chapter, the journey of my character in Bhatakandi progresses in a way that no one would have imagined. He has got some success, but new problems have also arisen in front of him. The best thing I like about this series is that it has brilliantly portrayed the real and serious problems of village hospitals on screen and then presents them with humour, sense of belonging, comedy and emotions in such a way that its story feels relatable to the audience of every age and region.
What does Vinay Pathak have to say?
Vinay Pathak, playing the character of Chetan Kumar, said, ‘TVF has always presented down-to-earth and common people’s stories, which go straight to the hearts of the audience and ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ is the best example of this. The specialty of this show is that it shows the truth of village hospitals and the life of the people there with a sense of belonging, humor and true emotions. In the new season, the relationships will deepen, the problems will become more complicated and the journey of these characters will become even more interesting. I am eagerly waiting for the moment when the audience will come back into this environment and reconnect with the entire village.
Akanksha Ranjan’s statement regarding serial
Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, playing the role of Dr. Gargi, said, “In this new season, the plight of village hospitals, village politics and the daily troubles of common people have been presented from a new perspective. My character is down to earth and wants to move forward, but she also knows very well what is possible and what is not in the circumstances in which she is working. One thing I liked most about my character is that she is not afraid of anyone and knows how to express her feelings openly. It felt great to again be a part of a story that feels absolutely true and not only entertains people but also teaches them how to do something good.
Dinesh Lal Yadav also talked about the series
Dinesh Lal Yadav, who played the character of Babu Saheb, said, ‘I also watched the first season of Gram Chikitsaalaya soon after its release and what I liked most was that it was very beautifully made. In this, things like village environment, daily hustle and bustle, mutual interaction between people and lack of trust in outsiders have been shown very truthfully but in a light-hearted manner. The best thing about this series is that it shows real problems but in such a way that it brings a smile on your face, makes you laugh as well as think. I am thankful to TVF for presenting such real-life stories, and also to Prime Video, which is bringing these down-to-earth Indian stories to audiences in every corner of the world.
