Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has dismissed media reports which claimed that she had requested to reduce the intimate scenes in her upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. Kiara shared a screenshot of a media report on her Instagram handle, which claims that Kiara Advani has requested the filmmakers to tone down the bold scenes with Yash in ‘Toxic’. Responding to these reports, the actress tagged the reports and called them complete nonsense.
Release date extended several times
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the script of this film has been written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas. ‘Toxic’ stars Yash along with many well-known stars including Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The filmmakers have recently announced that the release date of the film has been postponed and it will not hit the theaters on June 4, 2026. The film, produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, was initially scheduled to release on March 19, which was later postponed to June 4. The new release date of the film has not been announced yet. According to the producers, the decision has been taken after the film was screened at CinemaCon, where it received an overwhelming response from global distributors and industry representatives.
Yash had told the reason for delay in release
In a detailed statement, actor-producer Yash said that the enthusiasm of international buyers at CinemaCon has further reinforced that the film deserves to reach a mass audience. He had said that some films we make, and some films remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Showcasing our film at CinemaCon and the overwhelming response it has received globally has further reinforced our belief that this film deserves to reach its full potential around the world. Shot in Kannada and English, the film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam dubbed versions. Makers may announce its release date soon.
