Jio-BP, the joint venture of Reliance Industries and BP Plc, has not decided to increase the prices of petrol and diesel at present despite the sharp rise in crude oil prices in the international market. According to PTI news, company CEO Akshay Wadhwa gave this information on Friday. Akshay Wadhwa said in a program that we stand with the country. At present there are no plans to increase prices.

These companies have increased the prices

Due to the ongoing tension in West Asia, crude oil has crossed $ 100 per barrel in the international market. Despite this, Jio-BP and the country’s public sector oil companies are keeping fuel prices stable, giving relief to consumers from inflation. Talking about other companies, Naira Energy has increased the price of petrol by ₹ 5 per liter and diesel by ₹ 3 per liter. The company has 6,967 petrol pumps across the country. Shell India has also increased fuel prices at its 343 petrol pumps.

Jio-BP performance

A good growth was recorded in the sales of Jio-BP in the month of March. There has been an increase of 30% in petrol sales and 25% increase in diesel sales. The company claims that the demand from customers has increased due to better mileage from its special additive fuel. Talking about the presence of the company in the market, Jio-BP has 2,185 outlets out of total 1,02,075 petrol pumps in the country. Its market share is 4% in petrol and 6% in diesel.

Company has adequate supply of fuel

Jio-BP clarified that it has adequate supply of fuel available. There is no restriction on the sale of petrol or diesel and all petrol pumps are operating normally. This decision is a relief to consumers, especially when international crude oil prices have reached high levels.
