The government has issued a new warning regarding fake loan apps. These look-alike loan apps can drain your bank account. Also, your personal and financial details can be stolen. Cyber security wing I4C has warned people about this through its official X handle. These loan apps listed on Google Play Store appear genuine.
Be careful of fake apps
I4C Cyber Dost has warned people in its post that cyber criminals have listed fake loan apps on the Google Play Store by misusing the name of a registered financial corporation. In such a situation, caution should be taken while installing these apps in the phone. These fake loan apps present on Google Play Store can steal your personal information.
In its post, I4C has listed some fake loan apps available on Google Play Store, which include FinApex- Credit Assistant, PrimeCash-Line of Credit, Sarkari Labh, PocketLoanCredit-Loan & Credit, FinDrip-Credit Assistant, Thunil Loan- Credit Line, Loan Signal, Credit Bridge, ApnaLoan, RishFin etc. These fake apps look genuine.

I4C said in its post that these apps, which appear genuine, can steal and misuse your personal, financial and sensitive information. You should avoid installing these apps in your smartphone. If you have installed these apps in your phone, then remove them immediately. Report any kind of cyber fraud immediately to the national helpline number 1930.
