The government has told people how to reduce electricity bills. Many people just switch off the appliances installed in the house with the remote and think that they have been switched off and will not pay the bill. We use 6 such devices in our house, but we do not realize that they keep increasing the electricity bill even after switching off. From smartphone charger to AC, TV, these devices keep increasing the electricity bill even after being power off.

UPPCL i.e. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has informed about these equipment through its official X handle. If consumers take a little care, they can save a huge amount on electricity bills every month. We use most of these devices daily. These devices like TV, charger, set-top box, washing machine etc. remain in standby and continuously increase people’s electricity bills.

What is standby mode?

This is a mode in which even though the appliance is not in use, it continues to consume electricity. Especially TV, set-top box and remote operated devices, we do not switch them off with the switch but switch them off with the remote. There is continuous power supply in these and they consume electricity in standby mode. The government has advised people to switch off these devices after turning them off remotely. By doing this they will not remain in standby mode and will not consume electricity.

AC and charger also raise the bill

Most of the people also switch off the AC from the remote like TV, set-top box etc. These mistakes of people weigh heavily on them. Electric current continues to be supplied to the PCB or circuit board installed in the AC, due to which the electricity bill keeps rising. Like TV or other appliances, you should switch off the AC with the remote after switching it off.

At the same time, after charging the phone, we leave the charger plugged in and wonder how much electricity this small device will consume. We make mistakes here too, due to which electricity bills keep rising. In such a situation, the charger should also be switched off after the device is charged.

Switch off these two devices also

The WiFi device installed in the house also consumes electricity when it remains on all the time. Apart from this, RO also keeps consuming electricity. Switch off both these devices when you are not using them. If you are not using internet at night then switch it off. At the same time, do not keep RO on continuously. In this way, these 6 devices installed in the house continue to consume electricity even after the power is off.
