Cyber ​​Dost told that as soon as call forwarding is activated on your mobile number, you will get SMS alert on the registered mobile number. If you have not requested for call forwarding, it will have to be disabled immediately.

To disable call forwarding, you have to go to your phone’s dialpad and dial ##002#. Call forwarding will stop immediately as soon as you dial the number.

Apart from this, the government has also warned people not to dial call forwarding codes on their numbers without verifying them. By doing this, incoming calls coming to your number will be forwarded to some other number.

Do this work even by mistake

Cyber ​​criminals can ask for OTP through call on your number, then it will reach their number due to call forwarding. On receiving OTP they can withdraw money from your bank account. Also, your digital identity can be tampered with.

In such a situation, you will always have to take care of SMS alerts regarding call forwarding. Do not ignore any such message. On receiving such messages, immediately deactivate call forwarding by dialing the given codes. Many such cases have already come to light, in which cyber criminals have emptied the bank accounts of people by fraudulently activating call forwarding on their numbers.
