England cricket team captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson are in big trouble. After winning the first Test match against New Zealand by 115 runs, both the players were present at a nightclub on Monday morning. Something happened there after which the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is now investigating against both of them. It is believed that both these players have violated the rules of ECB.

Stokes and Atkinson may be out of the second test match

The ECB issued a statement on the evening of June 8 stating that they were investigating the team’s breach of protocol. The board has indicated that due to this incident both Stokes and Atkinson may have to sit out of the next match. The second Test match against New Zealand is going to start from June 17 at ‘The Oval’ ground and the team for this match will be announced soon. In such a situation, if both these players are found guilty then they may be removed from the team for this match.

ECB issued a big statement on this whole matter

The England Cricket Board said in its statement that after the end of the first Test match, the players had violated the rules. Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson were in the nightclub when the incident happened. The board is still gathering more information related to this matter. Along with this, ECB has also complained about this to the sports monitoring body ‘Cricket Regulator’.

Earlier also during the Australia tour, there was a lot of criticism for the poor behavior of the England players. Ben Stokes gave a controversial statement after defeating New Zealand

After the victory against New Zealand, Ben Stokes had said in the press conference that he was looking forward to going to the dressing room and sitting comfortably with his team players and drinking beer.
