Hardik Pandya fined 10 percent of his match fee
IPL has issued a statement saying that Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been fined 10 percent of his match fee. Not only this, he has also been given one demerit point. Players and team officials have been booked for breaching Level 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct during the IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.
The wicket bails were dropped by Hardik Pandya during the match.
During this time it has been told that Hardik Pandya was found violating Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. This relates to the misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match. This incident happened on the fourth ball of the 10th over of the second innings of the match. Hardik Pandya, while going back on his runup, hit the wicket bails hard.
