The Indian government has completely rejected the proposal brought by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) regarding Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India has given a strong statement while replying to the OIC. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that the OIC has given Pakistan the freedom to ‘misuse’ its platform to pursue its radical agenda. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that these statements made about India in the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting are malicious, biased and false, which have been sponsored by Pakistan.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC was organized on 17-18 October in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. A proposal regarding Jammu and Kashmir was also brought here. However, the Indian government completely rejected this proposal and said – “OIC has no right to comment on purely internal matters of India. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral and inalienable part of India. Politically motivated propaganda can never change this truth.” Let us tell you that before this The Indian government had also reprimanded Turkey regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
Only two issues regarding Jammu and Kashmir – India
The Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India issued a press note on the entire matter and said – “Since the removal of Article 370, there has been a lot of economic development in Jammu and Kashmir and the people here are getting direct benefits through infrastructure, tourism and connectivity. There are only two issues regarding Jammu and Kashmir which should be given attention. First – Pakistan vacating those areas which it has illegally and forcibly occupied. Second – stopping supporting cross-border terrorism.”
Serious questions on the honesty of OIC – India
The Indian government has further said that “The other fabricated and hostile statements against India in the OIC resolutions, including allegations of Islamophobia, are just Pakistan’s desperate attempts to divert attention from its own poor record, which includes atrocities on minorities, communal violence, governance failure and political instability.” The Indian government criticized the OIC and also gave it advice. The Ministry of External Affairs said, “OIC’s repeated support of the propaganda and narrative being spread by Pakistan raises serious questions on the credibility and integrity of the organization. We hope that its members will take better steps and bring reforms in this organization.”
