WhatsApp has finally rolled out the guest call feature. Through this feature, Meta has made it easier for people to connect with each other on the instant messaging platform. Through this feature, even those who do not use WhatsApp or do not have a WhatsApp account can be invited to audio or video calls. Users who initiate the call can invite guests to an audio or video call via the link. Recently this feature was seen in beta version.
WhatsApp has shared information about this new guest call feature through its blog post. WhatsApp users will start using this feature in the coming few weeks. Like regular WhatsApp calls, guest calls will also be completely end-to-end encrypted. This feature will work in both one-on-one or group calls. In this, maximum 32 people will be able to join the call simultaneously.
How will it work?
To use the WhatsApp guest call feature, the host i.e. the user initiating the call must have a WhatsApp account. Hosts can create a guest call link from their account and send it to any random user. Those who have the link of this call will be able to connect to that call even without creating a WhatsApp account or installing the app. According to the report, this guest call feature of WhatsApp will also be completely end-to-end encrypted like the regular platform, i.e. it will be secure. The host will have the right to add and remove people from the call.

How to initiate guest call?
- For this, first update the latest software of WhatsApp.
- Then go to the call option and tap on the + icon.
- Here you will get the option to create a call link.
- Once the link is created, the host can invite someone to join the call via SMS, email or other messaging service.
- Participants who accept the link will be able to join the guest call.
- In this, only a maximum of 32 people can join the call at a time. This means the link can only be sent to 31 people.
