Due to falling temperature in North India, the effect of cold in the morning and evening has started becoming visible. People have started feeling mild cold even at night. According to the Meteorological Department, different types of weather can be seen in India on Sunday. The sky will remain clear in most parts of North and Central India. Clear weather is expected in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. The weather in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to be cooler than the plains. Whereas rain activities may continue in South India even today.
Snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal
The cold has increased due to fresh snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Snowfall is being seen in the high altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba and Kangra districts of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, the high peaks of Kashmir Valley were covered with white sheets of snow after fresh snowfall overnight. After the snowfall, snow accumulated on major roads and tourist places.
Chances of heavy rain here today
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. This series of rains may continue till October 20. There is a possibility of heavy rain, thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds in these states.
The Meteorological Department said that during October 18 to 23, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema may also receive rain during October 18. There are chances of thunderstorm and lightning in Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on October 18. Here strong winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km.

The sky will remain clear in Delhi on Monday also. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 31°C to 33°C and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 18°C to 20°C. The minimum temperature will be close to normal in most parts of Delhi. Light winds may blow on Monday also.
