New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall over many parts of India during the next 24 hours, with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and other areas. As the south-west monsoon is withdrawing. However, rain activities are stopping in many states of the country. However, it is still raining in many parts of South India.
Heavy rain expected in these states today
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places over Kerala and Mahe as well as Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on October 10. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala and Mahe on October 10, while there may also be rain in Lakshadweep during this period. IMD has also predicted rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on October 10 and 11.

The Meteorological Department said that around October 13, a low pressure area is likely to form in the south-east Bay of Bengal and move towards the coasts of North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh. Due to this, there may be light rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab during October 10-15. There is a possibility of scattered rain in East Rajasthan during October 10-11. Today, strong winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 in Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad.
Light rain may occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha during October 10-15. There is a possibility of rain in Arunachal Pradesh during October 10. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Monsoon is about to leave from here
The Meteorological Department said that conditions are becoming favorable for further retreat of the Southwest Monsoon from parts of East India and Northern Peninsula and many parts of Northeast India during the next 3-4 days.
How will the weather be in Delhi?
The sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi-NCR today. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to range between 32°C to 34°C and 23°C to 25°C respectively. There is a possibility of wind blowing from south-east direction, the speed of which can reach 15 km/hour in the morning. In the afternoon the wind speed from south-east direction will increase to 18 km/hour. During evening and night the wind speed from the east direction will reduce to 15 km/hour.
