Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will host a lunch meeting for INDIA alliance MPs for the second consecutive day today amid the ongoing protests by opposition parties against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. This lunch will be organized at 1:45 pm at Moets K-14 Restaurant, Connaught Place, Delhi.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and other prominent MPs of the INDIA alliance are likely to attend the lunch meeting. This meeting is taking place at a time when opposition parties are continuously protesting against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Further strategy will be made over lunch
Opposition MPs can discuss the next strategy of their protest against the Election Commission in the meeting. There is also a possibility of further strategy being considered regarding the allegations of ‘vote theft’ being made by the opposition parties.
According to sources, opposition MPs can also sign a letter seeking an appointment with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Through this letter, the opposition will try to put its demands and questions related to the election process directly before the Election Commission.
Lunch meeting for the second consecutive day
This is the lunch meeting being organized by the Congress for the MPs of INDIA alliance for the second consecutive day. Earlier on Wednesday, lunch of opposition leaders was organized at Sagar Ratna Restaurant located on Janpath, Delhi.

Today’s meeting is being organized at Moets K-14 located in Connaught Place, near Jantar Mantar. After lunch, the activities of opposition MPs are likely to intensify regarding protests and further political strategy. All the Samajwadi Party MPs who are in Delhi will go for lunch. Information has come to light that Rajiv Rai from SP will attend the lunch of India Block.
The opposition parties’ protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar mainly focuses on the questions being raised regarding SIR and the election process. India alliance parties including Congress are continuously targeting the government and the Election Commission on these issues.
