At the time of the Defense Minister’s speech, a false narrative was being spread rapidly on social media and in some sections of the media that Indian Air Force pilots were killed in Operation Sindoor. According to the government, this claim was completely false and was being promoted with the aim of undermining the success of the operation and demoralizing the public.
Defense Minister’s comment was in response to misleading and false propaganda

The government said that in honor of the martyred soldiers, their names have been inscribed on the walls of the National War Memorial. Apart from this, necessary concessions and assistance in education, health and other facilities are being provided to their families and dependents.
