Material
- Green chilli: 250 grams
- Yellow mustard or mustard seeds: 3 tbsp (coarsely ground)
- Fennel powder: 2 tbsp (coarsely ground)
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
- Asafoetida
- Black salt: 1 tsp
- White salt: as per taste
- Lemon juice: 2 tbsp
- Water: 2 to 3 cups
Method of preparation
- First of all, wash the green chillies thoroughly and wipe them with a cotton cloth and dry them completely. Keep in mind, there should not be any moisture in the chilli. Now take a pan and add 2-3 cups of water in it. Then add green chillies in it and let it steam for 5-10 minutes. When it gets steamed, turn off the gas and take out the chillies in a plate.
- Now prepare its spices. For this, add yellow mustard or mustard, fennel powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, black salt, white salt and grind it coarsely.
- After this, mix coarsely ground mustard, fennel, turmeric, asafoetida, black salt and white salt together well in a mixing bowl.
- Now make an incision in the middle of the green chilli and fill the prepared masala well in the middle of the chopped green chilli with the help of a spoon or fingers.
- Put the spiced chillies in a clean, dry glass jar. Then add the remaining spices on top.
- Now cool the water in which chilli was boiled completely. Pour this cooled water into the jar so much that the chillies are completely immersed in the water. Add lemon juice last. If you want, you can also use vinegar.
- Close the lid of the jar and keep it in the sun for 2 to 3 days. Shake the jar well once a day. Enjoy this chilli after 2 days.
