Material
- Gram Sattu: 1 cup
- Jaggery powder: 3/4 cup
- Desi Ghee: 4-5 tbsp
- Cardamom powder: half teaspoon
- Lukewarm water or milk: 2 cups
- Finely chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios): 2 tbsp
method of making
- Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat it. When the pan becomes hot, add ghee in it. After adding ghee, add sattu in it and fry for 4-5 minutes. Fry it until the aroma comes out.
- When it is roasted, add lukewarm water to it and keep stirring.
- When the sattu becomes thick, add jaggery powder and cardamom powder to it and mix well.
- When the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan, add chopped dry fruits to it and serve it hot. It is also good for the stomach.
