Material

  • Gram Sattu: 1 cup
  • Jaggery powder: 3/4 cup
  • Desi Ghee: 4-5 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder: half teaspoon
  • Lukewarm water or milk: 2 cups
  • Finely chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios): 2 tbsp

method of making

  • Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat it. When the pan becomes hot, add ghee in it. After adding ghee, add sattu in it and fry for 4-5 minutes. Fry it until the aroma comes out.
  • When it is roasted, add lukewarm water to it and keep stirring.
  • When the sattu becomes thick, add jaggery powder and cardamom powder to it and mix well.
  • When the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan, add chopped dry fruits to it and serve it hot. It is also good for the stomach.
