These days, Kiara Advani is in the news for the upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. The audience is eagerly waiting for this Yash starrer film. Earlier this film was going to clash with ‘Dhurandhar 2’ at the box office on March 19, but at the last moment the makers postponed the release date and decided to release the film in June. But now the release of the film has been postponed once again. Amidst the wait for the release of the film, Kiara Advani now talked about her experience of working in ‘Toxic’ and told how director Geetu Mohandas had forbidden her from saying ‘Hi-Hello’ to anyone on the sets.
What did Kiara Advani say about the shooting of Yash’s film ‘Toxic’?
While talking to Bombay Times, Kiara told that Geetu Mohandas wanted her not to greet anyone on the set during the shooting, due to which the actress had to change her habit. Kiara says, “Geethu said, ‘Okay, tomorrow when you come to the set, I want you to remain in your character. Usually, as soon as I reach the set, I say hi-hello or good morning to people. I am such a person. But, Geetu told me in clear words that there is no need for any formality on the set. She said – I want that from tomorrow onwards, when you come to the set, you should remain in your character zone and do not talk to anyone. Don’t say hi, I want you to just get into your character and not greet anyone, not even your team, just stay in your character.
‘Toxic’ was challenging for Kiara Advani
Kiara said that ‘Toxic’ has been one of the most challenging projects for her so far. Kiara tells that because apart from English, she had to do scenes in Kannada as well and Kannada is not her mother tongue, hence she had to prepare more to speak the dialogues well. He said, “For me, working in Kannada was quite challenging because it was the first time I shot in both English and Kannada. We used to shoot the same scene multiple times. First one shot in English, then we would do the Kannada take. But at least for someone like me, Kannada is not my language, so I had to memorize my dialogues exactly the night before.”
The experience was different from Hindi cinema
Kiara Advani says that she has worked in different language industries, but the experience of working in Kannada language was quite different. However, even though there are cultural differences, the work environment feels familiar. Let us tell you, produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ stars Kannada superstar Yash in the lead role and along with him Kiara, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria are in lead roles.
