Veteran singer Asha Bhosle is no more in this world. He breathed his last on 12 April at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. After the demise of Asha Bhosle, the entire country was immersed in mourning. Many stars of the film industry also came to bid him farewell. His son Anand Bhosle performed his last rites on 13 April. Now, a week after Asha Bhosle’s funeral, on April 20, the veteran singer’s son Anand Bhosle and her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle immersed her ashes in Varanasi today, the video of which has also surfaced. Asha Bhosle’s ashes were immersed by her family on the banks of river Ganga in Varanasi. As per the wishes of the 92-year-old singer, her ashes were immersed with formal prayers and traditional rituals. During this, Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhole became emotional. Asha Bhosle’s demise has come as a deep shock to her granddaughter Janai. Janai had looked very emotional and was seen crying profusely during her grandmother’s last visit and now during the immersion of ashes, she also looked very emotional.

Zanai Bhosle shared an emotional message on social media after the demise of Asha Bhosle, in which she expressed her immense love and respect for the veteran singer. Janai had written in her post – “When I woke up this morning, I realized that I have lost my best friend, my closest companion and a person who completed my world. She was the person who held me in her arms after my birth. What will I do now? Who will I hug in the morning and with whom will I drink tea? Who will wait for me every day when I come home or with whom should I joke lightly…? These are just a few things. There are only a few things through which I can remember her, but for all those who have felt this grief with me, remember that she was and is an example of life and laughter, so if you have to remember her, then remember her that way!!”

She further wrote, “She is watching over all of us, especially her family, and I believe that she will come back to me very soon, because that’s what she promised me and always said!! I have lost the love of my life and there is no greater sorrow in the world, so I urge you all to live life to the fullest and remember her the same way and celebrate her life!! I love you so much Ashai, and goodbye for now my love.. I know That you will always be with me no matter what, just waiting for you to come back and hug me again. P.S.: This video is about a personal joke that happens between us at every event.”
Died on 12th April
Asha Bhosle was unwell for the last few months. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on April 11 due to chest infection and weakness. He died a day later, on 12 April, after which he was cremated with state honors at the Shivaji Park crematorium in Mumbai.
