Stock Market Today 27 July, 2026: On Monday, local stock markets started trading in the green. In the first trading session of the week, BSE Sensex opened with a strong rise of 549.21 points (0.72%) at 76,608.98 points. On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty 50 index started trading today at 23,928.40 points with a rise of 160.95 points (0.68%). On one hand, the market has made a positive start amid reduced tension between Iran and America in the Middle East. On the other hand, today a big fall is being seen in the prices of crude oil.
Shares of 28 out of 30 Sensex companies made a positive start.
On Monday, shares of 28 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 2 companies opened in the red with a decline. Whereas, the shares of 46 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 opened in the green mark with a rise and the shares of the remaining 4 companies opened in the red mark with a fall. Shares of IndiGo, the country’s largest airline company among the Sensex companies, opened today with the highest gain of 3.28 percent. Whereas, shares of drug manufacturing company Sun Pharma opened with maximum decline of 0.10 percent today.
Great start for IT stocks
Stocks included in Sensex companies today are Infosys 2.17 percent, Bajaj Finance 2.17 percent, Asian Paints 1.69 percent, TCS 1.42 percent, Tech Mahindra 1.37 percent, NTPC 1.28 percent, HCL Tech 1.28 percent, Maruti Suzuki 1.25 percent, Tata Steel 0.99 percent, L&T 0.99 percent, ITC 0.97 percent, Trent opened with a gain of 0.91 percent.
Banking shares also rose
Apart from these, on Monday, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra fell 0.88 percent, Bajaj Finserv 0.73 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.72 percent, BEL 0.68 percent, HDFC Bank 0.62 percent, Eternal 0.61 percent, Reliance Industries 0.56 percent, Adani Ports 0.56 percent, Axis Bank 0.48 percent, ICICI Bank 0.46 percent. Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank opened up by 0.44 per cent, SBI by 0.41 per cent, Hindustan Unilever by 0.37 per cent, Titan by 0.28 per cent and Power Grid by 0.24 per cent. Whereas, Bharti Airtel shares opened with a slight decline of 0.01 percent today.
