Stock Market Today 13 May, 2026: The trend of decline in the domestic stock market continues. On Wednesday once again the market started trading in the red. On the third day of the week, BSE Sensex opened with a loss of 119.90 (0.16 per cent) at 74,439.34 points. Whereas, NSE’s Nifty 50 index opened today with a loss of 17.10 points (0.07 percent) at 23,362.45 points. Let us tell you that the domestic stock market has closed trading with a decline for 4 consecutive sessions. Sensex has registered a fall of more than 2700 points in two sessions on Monday and Tuesday alone. On Monday, the Sensex had fallen 1312.91 points and closed at 76,015.28 points and on Tuesday it had fallen 1456.04 points and closed at 74,559.24.
Shares of 40 out of 50 Nifty companies started trading in the green.
On Wednesday, out of 30 Sensex companies, shares of only 6 companies opened in the green with a rise and shares of 20 companies opened in the red with a decline, while shares of 4 other companies opened without any change. On the other hand, shares of 40 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 opened with a rise in the green mark and shares of all the remaining 10 companies started trading with a decline in the red mark. Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank, included among the Sensex companies, opened today with the highest gain of 0.51 percent. Whereas, Eternal’s shares opened today with maximum fall of 1.75 percent.

Among other Sensex stocks today, Tata Steel shares opened with gains of 0.38 percent, ITC 0.15 percent, SBI 0.14 percent, Asian Paints 0.12 percent and Bajaj Finserv 0.01 percent. Whereas, shares of TCS, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Bank and HCL Tech opened without any change.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, shares of Power Grid 1.06 percent, Adani Ports 0.78 percent, Infosys 0.69 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.48 percent, Trent 0.48 percent, Bajaj Finance 0.44 percent, L&T 0.42 percent, Axis Bank 0.36 percent, NTPC 0.32 percent, Titan 0.25 percent, Sun Pharma Shares of 0.21 percent, Hindustan Unilever 0.16 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.15 percent, Indigo 0.13 percent, BEL 0.11 percent, ICICI Bank 0.07 percent, Tech Mahindra 0.03 percent, Reliance Industries 0.02 percent and Bharti Airtel opened with a fall of 0.01 percent.
