With the opening of the newly constructed Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor (Expressway), not only has the speed of travel increased, but now the burden on your pocket has also reduced considerably. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) has drastically reduced the fares of buses passing through the expressway, which has brought cheer to the faces of the passengers.
Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, Prateek Jain, has announced that the fares of buses plying through the expressway have been reduced by up to 25%. The main objective of this initiative is to provide accessible, affordable and better transport service to the passengers.

Uttarakhand Roadways has revised the fares of all its categories of buses. The new rates are as follows:
- Volvo: The fare of luxury Volvo buses, which was earlier ₹945, has now come down to just ₹709. That means a direct saving of ₹236 on a one-way journey.
- AC Bus: The fare of AC buses has been reduced from ₹704 to ₹507.
- Ordinary Bus: The fare of the general public’s favorite ordinary bus has reduced from ₹ 430 to only ₹ 355.
Now the journey will be completed in less than 3 hours
Along with the reduction in fares, passengers will also save valuable time. AGM Prateek Jain said that according to the survey conducted with Volvo buses and small vehicles, now the journey from Dehradun ISBT to Delhi ISBT is being completed in just 2 hours 55 minutes. Earlier it used to take 5 to 6 hours to cover this distance.
