The automobile company has announced that in view of inflationary pressure and adverse cost environment, it has been decided to increase the prices of all models by up to Rs 30,000.
Price will increase by Rs 30,000
Maruti Suzuki India has said in a regulatory filing that from June 2026, the company is going to increase the prices of all the models in its portfolio by up to Rs 30,000. In the filing, the company said that for the last few months the company has been trying to control its impact through cost reduction. However, due to inflationary pressure the company is having to increase the prices of all models.
Customers try to reduce its impact
According to the report, in the regulatory filing, the company said that inflation pressure is now at a high level and there is an adverse cost environment in the market. In such a situation, the company will have to pass a part of the increased cost on the market. At the same time, the company is trying to ensure that its impact on customers is kept to a minimum.
Currently, the price of the company’s entry level S-Presso to premium utility vehicle Invicto ranges between Rs 3.49 to Rs 28.7 lakh. After the implementation of the new GST rate last year, the company had reduced the price of S-Presso by Rs 1,29,000. At the same time, the price of Alto K10, one of the company’s other popular cars, has been increased by Rs 1,07,600. Apart from this, Maruti Celerio has become costlier by Rs 94,100 and Wagon-R by Rs 79,600.
From June 1, all these vehicles of the company will become costlier by Rs 30,000. However, the company has not yet told how much the price of which model is going to increase. In the coming days, the company may release new prices of all its vehicles.
