Apple has finally decided to increase the price of the iPhone. Recently, the American tech company has increased the prices of devices like MacBook and iPad globally. Now the company has increased the price of iPhone 17 series, iPhone 16 and iPhone Air. However, this price hike of Apple iPhone has happened only in Japan. The company has not yet announced the increase in the price of iPhone in India or other countries.
Price increased by 11.3%
Apple has increased the price of iPhone in Japan by 8 to 11.3 percent. There are speculations that due to chip and memory shortages and supply chain problems, Apple’s iPhone may become expensive in other markets as well. Apple launched the iPhone 16 series at a starting price of Rs 79,900. After the arrival of iPhone 17 series, it was available for Rs 69,900. At the same time, iPhone 17 series has been introduced in India at a starting price of Rs 82,900.
How much did the price increase?
- iPhone 17 Pro Max can be purchased in Japan at a starting price of 2,14,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 1,27,250. It was launched at a starting price of 1,94,800 yen i.e. Rs 1,15,400. The price of the phone has been increased by 10.3%.
- iPhone 17 Pro can be purchased in Japan at a starting price of 1,94,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 1,15,400. It was launched at a starting price of 1,79,800 yen i.e. Rs 1,06,500. Its price has been increased by 8.3%.
- iPhone Air can now be purchased in Japan at a starting price of 1,77,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 1,05,300. It was launched at a starting price of 1,59,800 yen i.e. Rs 94,672. Its price has been increased by 11.3%.
- iPhone 17 can now be purchased in Japan at a starting price of 1,42,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 84,500. It was launched at a starting price of 1,29,800 yen i.e. Rs 84,500. Its price has been increased by 10%.
- iPhone 17e can now be purchased in Japan at a starting price of 1,07,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 63,800. It was launched at a starting price of 99,800 yen i.e. Rs 59,100. Its price has been increased by 8%.
- iPhone 16 can now be bought in Japan at a starting price of 1,21,800 yen i.e. approximately Rs 72,150. It was launched at a starting price of 1,14,800 yen i.e. Rs 68,000. Its price has been increased by 8.7%.
