USA (America) cricket team’s star fast bowler Ali Khan has returned to the ODI team after more than 3 years. 35-year-old Ali Khan played his last ODI match for America in the World Cup Qualifiers held in Zimbabwe. Now America is going to play its last ODI series before the World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Africa in February next year and for this they have once again expressed confidence in their most effective bowler.
Jasdeep Singh also returned with Ali Khan
After talking to the team management, it has been decided that Ali Khan will return to the team. Ali Khan’s return comes at a good time for the US as they look to build their strongest team ahead of the qualifiers matches. Along with him, another fast bowler and former vice-captain Jasdeep Singh has also returned to the team. Jasdeep was out due to injury and had withdrawn his name from international matches ahead of the MLC tournament in June.
Rushil and Ritwik were dropped from the team
Because of these two experienced bowlers (Ali Khan and Jasdeep Singh), Rushil Ugarkar and young fast bowler Ritwik Appidi had to be dropped from the team. Rushil Ugarkar has been dropped from the team despite his excellent form. 23-year-old Rushil had taken 12 wickets in 6 matches and his economy rate was also less than 6. In Dubai, he single-handedly took 5 wickets by dismissing the upper order batsmen of UAE and helped the opposition team to all out early.
USA team will play match against UAE
The United States has a great opportunity to add to its impressive performance in World Cup League 2. If they win just 2 of their last 4 matches in the next 10 days, they will reach the top of the points table. With this, their total will be 23 wins in 36 matches of this long and difficult journey of 3 years. The USA team will play the first of its 4 triangular ODI matches against UAE on Monday.
