Rachin returned to the country to prepare for the test series
The New Zealand team has to tour England in the beginning of June where it will play a three-match Test series. In this regard, New Zealand Cricket had announced the squad a few days ago, in which the name of Rachin Ravindra is also included. In such a situation, considering the situation of KKR in IPL, Rachin considered it better to return to the country and prepare for the Test series. Rachin Ravindra was given a share of Rs 2 crore by KKR in his base price for IPL 2026. In the statement issued by KKR regarding Rachin, it was said that Rachin Ravindra has returned home to start his Test cricket preparations for New Zealand’s upcoming Test tour of England. New Zealand has to play the first match of the Test series against England from June 4 at Lord’s Stadium.
Almost impossible for KKR to reach the playoffs
The IPL 2026 season has proved to be no less than a nightmare for Kolkata Knight Riders in which it now looks almost impossible for them to reach the playoffs. KKR still has three more matches to play in the league stage, in which out of the total 11 matches played so far, they have won only 4, while they have faced defeat in 6 matches while one match has been cancelled. KKR currently has a total of 9 points and is at number 8 in the points table.
