Actually, this is Virat Kohli’s 279th IPL match. With this he became the player who played the most matches in IPL. Earlier this record was jointly held in the name of Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. Dhoni played a total of 278 matches for Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants between 2008 and 2025. Whereas Rohit Sharma participated in a total of 278 matches for Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians.
