Batting at No. 3 in the match against SRH, Mhatre had got off to a good start, but while trying to take a quick second run, he was seen holding his left hamstring. He required treatment on the field twice and was taken off the field with the help of support staff after being dismissed.
CSK will now play its next match against Mumbai Indians on 23 April at Wankhede Stadium. CSK suffered another blow when fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was ruled out of the entire tournament due to a quadriceps injury. The team is now looking for his replacement.
