There is good news for lakhs of central government employees, pensioners and their families. Official website of 8th Central Pay Commission Now it is completely live. The government has activated this portal in February 2026, where now all the stakeholders can directly give their opinions and suggestions on salaries, pensions, allowances and service conditions. This is the first major step that will help the Commission in giving more transparent and people-oriented recommendations.

  • Date of formation: Announcement in January 2025, Finance Ministry issued official notification on 3 November 2025.
  • Timeframe: The Commission is to submit its report in 18 months (i.e. possible recommendations by May 2027).

The Commission has launched a structured questionnaire consisting of 18 questions on the MyGov portal. It is available in both English and Hindi.

  • Central Government Employees (Serving and Retired)
  • employees of union territories
  • Judicial officers, officers/employees of courts
  • members of regulatory bodies
  • Employees Association/Union (serving or retired)
  • Pensioners, researchers, academicians and common citizens
  • Nominated Nodal Officers of Ministries/Departments

Last date for sending suggestions

  • 16 March 2026 (Monday) – Till 11:45 pm.
  • After this no suggestion will be accepted.

How to give suggestions? (Step-by-Step Guide)

  • Visit MyGov portal (link above).
  • Login/Sign-up with mobile number or email.
  • Enter 6 digit OTP.
  • Fill out the 18 question questionnaire and submit.

According to the news of livemint, keep in mind that suggestions will be accepted only through MyGov portal. Suggestions sent through email, PDF, paper or any other means will not be considered at all. Your identity will remain completely confidential. All responses will be analyzed collectively, individual names will not be linked.
