Dilip Kumar Das, Chief Warder of Redhakhol Sub-Jail in Sambalpur district of Odisha, seems to be embroiled in a big controversy. It is alleged that after coming out of jail, he was seen roaming and partying with two former prisoners released on bail. After the matter came to light, the jail department has ordered an investigation.
According to the information, the two people with whom the Chief Warder was seen have been identified as Akhilanand Mishra and Sunil Shankar of Bihar. Both of them are said to be accused related to drug smuggling. Both were earlier lodged in Redhakhol sub-jail and are currently out on bail.

Meanwhile, a video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, Chief Warder Dilip Kumar Das is seen with these two former prisoners. After the video surfaced, many questions have started being raised regarding the relationship between the two. The controversy has also increased because according to jail rules, jail staff are not allowed to have any kind of inappropriate relations or illegal contact with prisoners or accused released from jail. In such a situation, this case has also raised questions on the functioning of the jail administration.
Nothing wrong happened inside the jail – Jailer
Allegations have also been made regarding the viral video that the Chief Warder was under the influence of alcohol at that time. In this case, Redhakhol Jail Jailer Laxmikant Murmu said that he is not aware of who the Chief Warder meets outside the jail. He said that no illegal activity of any kind has taken place inside the jail under his supervision. The jailer also said that if the Chief Warder meets anyone outside the jail premises, it is his personal matter. He reiterated that no such incident has come to light inside the jail and he cannot say anything about the activities outside. At present, cognizance has been taken of the viral video and senior jail officials have started investigating the entire matter.
