In Tamil Nadu, which has 234 assembly seats, TVK is the largest party with 108 seats, but Vijay has won two seats. In such a situation, he will have to give up one seat and his party will be left with only 107 seats. Even if the total number of MLAs is 233, the majority figure will remain 118. In such a situation, TVK needs the support of 11 MLAs. He has the support of 5 Congress MLAs and needs 6 more MLAs.
CPM, CPI and VCK have won 2 seats each in the 2026 assembly elections. In such a situation, Vijay will form the government with the support of these three parties. In this situation, both DMK, which won 59 seats, and AIADMK, which won 47 seats, will be in the opposition. According to sources, CPM/CPI and VCK have expressed their support to Vijay. However, the meeting of the three parties is still going on, an official announcement is being said after the meeting. According to sources, the CPI meeting has ended. CPI has handed over the letter of support of its two MLAs to TVK leader CTR Nirmal Kumar.
