Emphasis on work from home, reduction in foreign travel and advice on organic farming, PM Modi’s appeal to the countrymen

During his speech in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of the country to reduce the use of petrol and diesel and adopt measures during the Corona period. He said that this is necessary to face rising prices due to global economic disruptions, supply chain challenges and international conflicts. The PM appealed to all the people to participate together to help India. He emphasized that patriotism does not just mean giving one’s life for the country, but also living responsibly in difficult times and fulfilling one’s responsibilities towards the country.

PM Modi appealed to resume Covid-era efficiency measures in the interest of the country, including work from home arrangements, online conferences and virtual meetings. Along with this, he also appealed to reduce foreign trips to save foreign exchange and not to buy gold for a year. This will also help in saving foreign exchange.

• Reduce use of petrol and diesel
• Use metro and public transport wherever possible
• Car-pooling when private vehicles are necessary
• Give priority to railway transport for transportation of goods
• Increase the use of electric vehicles wherever possible
• Save fuel by making work from home arrangements, online conferences and virtual meetings wherever possible.
• Avoid non-essential foreign travel, foreign holidays and foreign weddings
• Choose domestic tourism and celebrations within India
• Requested to avoid unnecessary purchase of gold for one year so that the pressure on foreign exchange can be reduced.
• Give preference to made-in-India and locally made products, including everyday items like shoes, bags and accessories
• Reduce the use of edible oil, this will benefit both the economic health of the country and personal health.
• Farmers should reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by 50 percent.
• Adopt natural farming methods
• Help maintain soil health and reduce import dependence
• Encourage greater adoption of solar powered irrigation pumps instead of diesel pumps in agriculture.
