In such a situation, there has been a slight change in the weather since Monday night. The Meteorological Department has given good news for many states including Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert for rain along with dust storm is issued for the next three days for many states including Delhi-NCR.

Rain alert from Tuesday to Thursday

There was a dust storm and strong winds in the national capital Delhi-NCR on Monday night. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain, thunder and strong winds from Tuesday to Thursday. It is extremely hot in Delhi, the temperature has reached 42.3 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of a slight drop in the temperature after the rain.

Know what the temperature will be today?

The Meteorological Department has predicted the minimum temperature for Tuesday to be around 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature to be around 42 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms and rain are expected to provide some relief from the scorching heat.

This weather will remain till 30th April i.e. Thursday

There is a possibility of dust storm, thunderstorm and rain in Delhi-NCR from Tuesday to April 30 (Thursday), for which a special yellow alert has been issued for April 29.

Chances of rain in UP also

The effect of intense heat and heat wave continues in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh. The temperature has reached around 45 degrees Celsius in many cities. The Meteorological Department has warned of heat wave in many parts of the state. Also, there is a possibility of strong winds and light rain in some areas in the next 1–2 days, which may provide some relief from the heat.

Know why the weather changed?

Skymet’s Mahesh Palawat said, ‘A cyclonic circulation is over central Pakistan, north-western Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. It is currently strong and moving towards north-eastern India. There may be rain in parts of Rajasthan and Haryana tonight and it is likely to reach Delhi on Tuesday and remain active till April 30.

He said the circulation moving from Rajasthan is likely to cause strong winds, which may cause dust storm as well as moderate rain and thundershowers, which can be classified as pre-monsoon rain.

Apart from Delhi, rain alert in these states also

According to the Meteorological Department, the states of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India are expected to receive rain throughout the week. There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in these areas.

Forecast of rain with strong thunderstorm

The Meteorological Department has warned that there may be heavy rain at some places in these areas, due to which there is a possibility of waterlogging at the local level and affecting life. Apart from this, thunderstorm activities may be seen in Eastern India during the next one week. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds in North-West India between April 28 to May 2 and in Central India and South Peninsular India between April 27 to May 1.
