There is a wonderful news for lakhs of travelers and employed people of Delhi-NCR. In view of the continuously increasing number of passengers traveling on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor (RRTS), the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has taken a big decision. From today (Friday), 8 additional trips are being started daily on this route. Apart from this, in view of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to be held on this Sunday (May 24), Delhi Metro (DMRC) has also made a major change in its timing for the convenience of the candidates.

Now there will be no crowd during morning and evening peak hours

According to NCRTC officials, the main objective of increasing the frequency of Namo Bharat trains is to provide maximum convenience to the passengers during peak hours and to reduce the dependence on private vehicles and congestion on the roads. The 8 trips increased under the new revised schedule are divided equally between morning and evening peak hours:

  • Morning Peak Hour: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (4 additional trips)
  • Evening Peak Hour: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (4 additional trips)

All these additional trains are being run between Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South Namo Bharat stations. To enable passengers to get trains in less time, two new trains have also been added to the fleet of this corridor.

Delhi Metro will run from 6 am this Sunday

The second major update on the logistics and public transport front has come from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Keeping in mind the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) to be held on 24th May (Sunday), Delhi Metro has made a slight change in its operating timings. Metro service will start on all corridors of Delhi Metro from 6:00 am on Sunday. Additional trains will also be run between stations so that candidates can take their exams on time without any stress.
