A three-match ODI series will be played between Pakistan and Australia from 30 May 2026. Pakistan has announced its squad for this series. PCB has selected a 16-member team for this series, in which they have included 3 new faces. Meanwhile, the selectors have taken a big decision and have not given place to Pakistan’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan in this team. Rizwan is now out of the ODI team after T20.
3 new players given chance in ODI series
Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas and Rohail Nazir are the three players who have not played ODI cricket for Pakistan yet. He has been included in Pakistan’s ODI team for the first time. Shaheen Afridi will be seen captaining Pakistan in this series also. Whereas Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqim, who were not part of the ODI series played against Bangladesh in March, have been included in the team for this series.
Fakhar Zaman and Sam Ayub also out of the series
Usman Khan could not be a part of this series due to illness and in his absence, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir have been included in the team as two wicketkeeper-batsmen. Fakhar Zaman and Sam Ayub were also not considered for selection, as both players have still not fully recovered from their injuries and are rehabbing under the supervision of the PCB medical panel.
Talking about the schedule of this series, the first match will be played on May 30 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second match of the series will be held on June 2 and the third match on June 4 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Australia’s men’s team will reach Islamabad on May 23 for the ODI series. Their players will also take part in the training session to be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
